In the beginning - the WJW Blog

So it seems that everyone has gotten into the blogoshpere... it was only a matter of time until I jumped in the ring. I have maintained a website at williamwelbes.com since 1999, but this marks my first real entry into the world of blogging. It's a bit different than maintaining a personal site... a bit less control over the back end. I thought about being creative and developing my own blogging system in Cold Fusion or something, but that would be a deviation from the experience that most bloggers are getting these days. It amazes me how many people have opened up to publishing on the web with this new venue. I remember the feeling of putting together my first personal page in HTML, and publishing it out there for the world to see... it's great that so many more people now have the tools to do the same :)
